void_solid_interior_exterior_mass_materiality_ our first chapter begins with a study in 2 dimensions of the work of these two remarkable artists. concepts of boundary, intersection, surface--limits that define relationships and contrast, between sides, between realms--edges that are at times clear + precise and other times ambiguous + distended. the studio will begin with an exploration of these; qualities at the seams that define one phase from another and anticipate a deep sensibility to the limits of landform.
