Qualitative Measures_Process of Experience

The Urban Development Boundary presents a very tangible boundary between the Everglades and the city of Miami. However this boundary is one that can be better felt than seen. By traversing across the city and into the Everglades, one can truly feel the change from the tightly compacted city to the open and limitless expanses of the Everglades. SW 8th St. and N. Kendall Dr. are two roads on which this transition can be most adequately felt. Miami's dense and fluctuating population is most likely the explanation of this intense juxtaposition.
