The Urban Development Boundary clearly divides the landscape into different grains and patterns. In my Qualitative Measures Diagram, I focused on a specific location in order to show these different patterns. As you can see, the image is a strip from west to east. It begins by showing the grain of the ridges and water sloughs of the Everglades , then continues after Krome Ave to show the agriculture patterns. Lastly, I noticed how different the grain of the landscape became when development began to occur. Which happens after the diagonal road known as US 27. A shift in patterns became clear to me as I began to notice how the Urban Development Boundary was the main cause.
